Nairn

The University of the Third Age (U3A) is an international movement whose aims are the education and stimulation of mainly retired members of the community — those in their third 'age' of life. The aim of u3as is to provide the opportunity for those no longer in work to come together and learn for fun and to meet other folk.

Nairn u3a is a friendly group of over 150 members, many of whom meet regularly for a variety of activities depending upon their interests. Between September and May, there are fortnightly TALKS from a guest speaker or from one of our members. There are also several INTEREST GROUPS which pursue various subjects - some all year round.. The Nairn group has just celebrated its 30th Anniversary and is very friendly - we welcome new members at any of our Wednesday talks, and at most of our Interest Groups - a couple are full, but keep a waiting list.

You can contact our Membership Secretary for information and an application form by clicking on this link Membership Secretary or using the link on the CONTACT page.

Alternatively, you can contact specific committee members (e.g. our CHAIR, INTEREST GROUPS CO-ORDINATOR, TALKS PROGRAMME C0-ORDINATOR) by clicking on the appropriate link on the CONTACT page on this web site.

As a member, you will also be able to join the Nairn U3A Facebook page which is updated on a regular basis with news and items of interest. To access the Nairn U3A Facebook page you need to sign up for an account via https://www.facebook.com Once your account has been set-up, search for Nairn U3A then ask to join the group. Your request will be approved within a day or two.
